We will use this page to list all the special needs dogs and cats at the shelter. While all of the animals in our care are special, these guys will need that extra patience and TLC!

Samy, Siamese, Neutered Male, Born abt 2000
Samy is one beautiful and affectionate boy! He will crawl right up on your shoulder and give you hugs while purring in your ear. But, he is FIV positive. He can still have a great life, if you can give him a chance. He can still live a long and happy life and can live with other cats, even negative ones.

Farah, Sharpei Mix, Spayed Female, Born abt 1994
Farah originally came to us from MCHS VERY PREGNANT. She had her babies and was very impatient as a mother, she was apparently not only too old, but had some back issues. On top of all of this, she appears to have been beaten and is very unsure of new people, especially men. It takes some time for her to trust you, but when she does she is a great gal and would make a very dedicated companion. When
Farah began showing some major signs of back/neck pain, we had some x-rays done. It was determined that she is an older dog and , "her body is going through some changes" according to her vet. Her x-rays showed that she has a build-up of calcium under her spine between her vertebrae. We had to have some back surgery done on her, but she is doing great! She gets a little stiff once in awhile, but is still spunky. She deserves to spend her remaining days in a home that can take her for long walks. She will become your best friend!

Adel, Chow/Husky Mix, Spayed Female, DOB abt 2000
Adel is a special gal who has been with us for a long time. You see, when she first came to us, she had been so badly abused, she didn't trust anyone and was just out to survive. She has settled tremendously since she has been in our care and really wants to trust, but is still very handshy. When she gets to know you, she give great kisses and nibbles, but still is a little shy with hands She will need a lot of TLC and patience, but will make a loving pet

Danny, Tabby/White DSH, Neutered Male, DOB 2005
What a lover Danny is. He just needs a home to call his own. But, he is FIV positive. He is not showing any symptoms and can still live a long life. Can he come spend his days with you? He is a gentle boy with a gentle heart. He is currently residing with Timmie and they get along great!

Timmie, Tabby DSH, Neutered Male, DOB 2003
This beautiful boy is just a little confused. We think he was dumped, then ended up with an Indy Feral caregiver, then unsure is there is where he belonged. So, he came to Tails a' Waggin'. He is a sweet boy who really deserves a place to call home. Can that be at your house?

Ebony, Cocker Spaniel, Spayed Female, DOB abt 1997
I am so beautiful now, don’t you agree? When I first came into IACC as a stray, you could have used my fur as a board! I hadn’t been trimmed or groomed for a long time. But, now I have a nice haircut and look great. I seem to get along with everybody, need to go to a home with no young children, at least on a daily basis. The vet says I really need my teeth clean as apparently my previous owner did not take very good care of me. Can I come live out my days with you?
