Petfest
Fall 2006	The Fall 2006 PetFest Day has officially been deemed a success! More than 200 pets found forever homes with over 1500 people in attendance of the day’s events. Families had an opportunity to not only come out and see the numerous pets that were in need of homes – but they also had a chance to visit booths that dealt with every aspect of owning a pet. Booths ranging from doggie daycare to grooming to food to memorial items dotted the Eagle Creek Park.
Spring 2006	Petfest 2006 Spring Adoption Day started with a beautiful sunrise and hope in the air. More than 2000 people raced in to the event to see what the 50 animal welfare organizations had available as well as to watch the leaping dogs from Indy Dog & Disk and those agile canines from the Canine Ambassadors of Central Indiana Veterinary Medical Association. And who could help but enjoy the demo from Tess, the potbelly pig! She stole the show! But, best of all, 115 animals were given a chance to go to new homes and enjoy the great weather that afternoon, as well as over 200 more adoptions were pending at the end of the day. 320 animals were given a voice! A voice that they needed a new home! It was a great day and there are so many people to thank. But, most of all the thanks has to go to the wonderful people who believed in giving these voiceless creatures a voice and a new life!
Fall 2005	Brrrrr...... it was a chilly day at Petfest 2005 Fall Adoption Day, but that didn't cool the spirit of the animal welfare organizations or the close to 400 animals that were brought out to the event for adoption. There were 40 shelters/rescues and animal welfare organizations whot attended Petfest 2005 Fall Adoption Day, brought to you by Hoosiers Helping Homeless Pets. There were approximately 2000 people in attendance and 105 animals found new homes on Saturday with another 142 adoptions pending! Once again, the animals were the ultimate winners!
Spring 2005	There were 50 shelters/rescues and animal welfare organizations that participated in Petfest 2005 Spring Adoption Day, brought to you by Hoosiers Helping Homeless Pets. They brought a wide variety of critters for adoption, as well as to help provide demonstrations and education. There were approximately 2500 people in attendance and 141 animals found new homes on Saturday with another 154 adoptions pending!
Fall 2004	Once, again, 'Mother Nature' was looking out for us when she let some sunshine in around 9 am just as the groups were beginning to arrive. There were 38 shelters/rescues and animal welfare organizations attend Petfest 2004 Fall Adoption Day, brought to you by Hoosiers Helping Homeless Pets. They brought a wide variety of critters for adoption, as well as to provide demonstrations and education. There were approximately 3000 - 4000 people in attendance and 127 animals found new homes on Saturday with another 123 adoptions pending!
Spring 2004	It is impossible to tell the far reaching results from our 3rd Pet Fest Adoption Day, but we know how we stood at the end of the day, 116 went home with new owners and there were 132 adoptions pending. More than 3000 people came through the doors to either adopt an animal or enjoy the fun. The Expo Hall at the Indiana State Fairgrounds was a great venue, we may do another future event there.
